Bettina Eriksen, manager of her Uncle Teodor's nursing home, is being framed for murder. With the help of 2 older ladies, Bettina sets out to find out the murderer's identity and motive.

Gói is sent by his mother to market to sell their only cow, Old Skjölda, but trades her for three “magic beans” instead. Overnight, the beans grow into a towering stalk leading to a giant’s castle in the clouds. Gói climbs up, outwits the sleeping giant, and returns home with treasures, among them a hen that lays golden eggs and a self-playing harp. A story about five people who became friends as adults. They are all in the their early 40s and struggle to find meaning in their lives. They haven't seen each other since the last reunion was somewhat of an aggressive altercation. One thing they all have in common is the feeling of not having experienced enough. They have different social statuses, some are successfully well off and others struggle to keep jobs and relationships.

Two teenage girls go to winter carnival in Quebec City for the first time. Their ambiguous, tentative relation with a young boy brings both of them the sweet intensity and disillusionment of first love. One of four film sketches on the problems of adolescents facing the adult world in the 1960s included in the anthology film That Tender Age (La fleur de l'âge, ou Les adolescentes). The three other sketches were directed by Jean Rouch, Hiroshi Teshigahara, and Gian Vittorio Baldi.
